Zaha Hadid's work is awesome to put it mildly. Her free flowing forms and structure conjure a scene from a sci-fi movie in a perplexing way.She has pushed architectural boundaries by designing buildings that stepped from the traditional norm thus wining for herself a Pritzker Architectural prize in 2004( The first woman to do so). Check out some of her work below.
You cannot talk about vertical gardens without mentioning Patrick Blanc the pioneer. A botanist by profession, he came up with the green wall concept that creates green façades on otherwise plain buildings. He uses a lightweight structure as an alternative to soil; which is composed of a metal frame, a thin sheet of PVC, and a layer of felt. The plants do not damage the buildings' structure as a mineral and water complex provides the needed hydration and nutrients.Check out some of his work here. Its a trendy gardening approach that is gaining much popularity globally (I wish it would catch on as fast locally). its been credited for saving on space, adding visual drama and purifying the air. Lets go green people! enjoy the photo treats. Disclaimer: Images used here are for sharing of information and appreciation of the artists' work only. No copyright infringement intended.
